Programmable CTAs

Programmable CTAs are buttons or cards that appear at a configured second and open a destination. The runtime emits impression and click events for each CTA.

Where to find it

  • Workspace defaults — Player Studio → Conversion → CTAs.
  • Per video — a video's Customize tab → CTAs. The same per-CTA controls are available in both editors.
  • Performance — Overview shows aggregate CTA CTR. The runtime emits cta_shown and cta_clicked events with the button ID and label.

Adding a CTA

  1. Click Add CTA.
  2. Enter the Button text (the label the viewer sees).
  3. Enter the Destination URL.
  4. Set Appears at.
  5. Choose whether it should Stay until the end, then choose Position, Shape, and Color.
  6. Toggle the CTA on, select Save, and publish the draft.

Shape and placement

Each CTA has a shape:

  • Pill — a compact rounded button, good for a single action.
  • Card — a larger block with more visual weight.
  • Square — a square-corner button.
  • Full bar — a full-width bar.

The editor's positions are Left, Center, Right, and Under player. Match placement to your layout so the CTA does not cover important content or captions.

Running multiple CTAs

You can add up to 20 CTAs. Each has its own Appears at time and enable toggle, so you can sequence or pause CTAs without deleting them.

Exit-intent overlay

Alongside timed CTAs, the Studio CTAs group has an Exit-intent overlay that appears when a viewer tries to leave the page. Set its Headline, Body, and CTA label to make one last offer before they go.

Click tracking

CTA impressions and clicks are captured with the button ID and label. Overview currently shows aggregate CTA CTR rather than a per-CTA results list. For custom handling, the Studio's Advanced group exposes an onCta callback.

Best practices

  • Time your main CTA to the exact moment your script names the offer.
  • Test one strong CTA before stacking several—too many competing buttons dilute clicks.
  • Keep labels action-first and specific (for example, "Claim your spot · 47% off").

Frequently asked questions

How many CTAs can one video have?

The current player configuration supports up to 20 timed CTAs.

Are CTA clicks tracked?

Yes. The runtime emits impression and click events with the CTA identity; Overview shows aggregate CTA CTR.

What's the difference between a CTA and lead capture?

A CTA opens a destination. The current Lead Capture gate shows a form but discards entered values.
