Video metrics

Per-video reporting lives on the Analytics tab of the video detail page (Overview · Analytics · Customize · Embed · A/B Tests · Settings).

Open analytics for one video

  1. Open Videos and click the video.
  2. Select the Analytics tab.

You can also use workspace Analytics in the sidebar for cross-video reports.

What you can review

Depending on the sub-panels enabled for that video:

  • General retention — Heatmap and curve views.
  • Breakdowns — Countries, devices, OS, browsers, traffic source.
  • Custom metric — On the Metrics card, select Custom metric to open Build a custom metric. Enter a Metric name. The formula is one operand divided by another. Operands are Views, Plays, Button clicks, Conversions, and Revenue. Format is Number, Percent, or Currency. A preview uses the current summary. Saving adds the card. The trash control asks Delete custom metric? before it removes that metric. Currency values are masked in the grid.
  • Toolbar — Date range, compare mode, Refresh, and Download metrics.

Date filters

Use Today, 7d, 30d, or Custom. Custom opens Custom date range; select Apply range to set the window. The same control is on Home and workspace Analytics.

Using metrics with experiments

  • Pair Smart Progress changes with before/after windows on the Analytics tab.
  • When testing Smart Autoplay, keep UTM tags consistent so traffic quality does not confound player changes.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the Metrics tab?

Per-video reporting is on the Analytics tab when you open a video from Videos.

Why are numbers delayed?

Large workspaces may batch analytics. Use Refresh on the tab and allow a few minutes for processing.
