Pitch Reveal
Pitch Reveal hides the entire AtomicPlayer until a timestamp you choose, then reveals the offer. It is the classic VSL technique: viewers can't jump straight to the pitch, so they have to watch the setup first. Before the reveal, they see a short tease message and, if you want, a countdown.
What Pitch Reveal does
Instead of showing the player immediately, the page displays your tease message (for example, "Watch the exclusive offer") in place of the video. When the video reaches the reveal timestamp, the player appears and the pitch plays. Pair it with an optional countdown so the viewer knows the wait is finite.
Where to find it
You can set Pitch Reveal in two places:
- Workspace default — open Player Studio, go to Conversion → Pitch Reveal, and turn on Enable Pitch Reveal.
- Per video — open a video, go to the Customize tab, and open the Pitch Reveal section. Per-video settings override the workspace default.
How to set it up
- Turn on Enable Pitch Reveal.
- Set Timing. The start thumb is when the veil appears. The end thumb is the reveal. The hint says the veil appears at the start thumb and lifts at the end thumb.
- Choose Veil style: Solid, Blur, or Poster.
- Enter a Tease message and optionally enable Show countdown.
- Select Save, then Publish to this video for a per-video edit. For workspace defaults, select Save, Publish defaults, and then Apply to videos when you want to distribute them.
Best practices
- Pick a reveal time that matches where your script actually turns to the offer—too early kills curiosity, too late loses patience.
- Keep the tease message benefit-driven and short.
- Use the Live preview in the Customize tab to confirm the reveal fires at the right moment before you publish.
- Combine Pitch Reveal with Smart Progress so the timeline length stays hidden while viewers wait.

Frequently asked questions
Can I set a different reveal time per video?
Yes. The Studio sets a workspace default, but the Reveal at value in a video's Customize tab overrides it for that video.
Does the countdown have to be on?
No. Show countdown is optional. Turn it off if you want only the tease message with no visible timer.
Is Pitch Reveal the same as Mini Hooks?
No. Pitch Reveal hides the whole player until one timestamp; Mini Hooks overlay timed images while the video keeps playing.
