Traffic sources & filters

Traffic-source data appears inside several reports, but the workspace toolbar does not currently provide a global source filter. The global Scope control narrows reports by video folder.

Scope: filter reports by folder

The Scope menu contains:

  • All videos
  • Every real folder currently in the workspace, with its video count

There are no fixed VSLs, Ad creatives, Webinars, Archive, or Custom filter scope options. Scope is passed to live reports as a folder filter. Date and comparison support depends on the report; for example, Live has no date range and Benchmarks is coming soon.

How sources are identified

Where source data is available, AtomicPlayer reports labels derived from the analytics pipeline. Consistent UTM parameters and referrers help keep those labels useful, but the current workspace does not expose a dedicated source-normalization editor.

Where source data appears

  • Analytics Overview can show a traffic-source summary.
  • Cohorts can split the matrix by source or traffic type.
  • Retention can request Paid or Organic segments.
  • Funnel can show conversion paths returned by the analytics API.
  • A/B Test Analytics can show a Sources dimension when rows are available.
  • Revenue attributes an approved sale to the last matching video click. It does not calculate CPA, ROAS, or multi-touch.

Keep UTM tags consistent

Use a consistent UTM scheme across ads, email, and links. Source reporting is only as clean as the incoming campaign and referrer data.

Best practices

  • Choose the video folder first. Use Scope to keep cross-video reports focused.
  • Use report-specific source views. There is no global source selector today.
  • Read revenue as last-click checkout sales. See Revenue attribution.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Scope menu filter?

It selects All videos or one real workspace folder. Fixed VSL, creative, webinar, archive, and custom-filter scopes are not current options.

Can I filter every report by traffic source?

No. Source data appears in specific reports, including Cohorts and available A/B test dimensions, but there is no workspace-wide source filter.

Where do I see revenue attribution by source?

Revenue attribution groups matched approved sales by traffic source. It does not calculate CPA, ROAS, or multi-touch.
